Biography

Born and raised in Pasadena, CA, Taylor is a professional actress, dancer, and model. From classical ballerina to commercial dancer, her dance background spans several styles and influences including salsa, improvisation, jazz, and hip hop. In addition to dancing, Taylor has always had an affinity for acting and storytelling through film, and has studied Meisner technique at Baron Brown Studio in Santa Monica as well as commercial technique at Killian's Workshop. She is currently training at Anthony Meindl Actor’s Studio in both scene-study and on-camera. An avid fan of art films and the fusion of art forms to more vividly tell stories, Taylor is most passionate about working on projects which combine the universal languages of dance and music with cinematography.

Taylor began her dance training at Pasadena Dance Theatre and The Colburn School in downtown Los Angeles. She went on to study with several prestigious ballet companies including Boston Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, and The Joffrey Ballet. While still in high school, Taylor moved to Chicago to dance with The Joffrey Ballet, but after three years in the windy city, she followed her heart back to LA in pursuit of a more varied career. In addition to ballet, Taylor has trained in jazz, salsa, flamenco, samba, and hip hop which has given her a diverse dialect of movement to draw from whether on stage or on screen.

After moving back to Los Angeles, Taylor signed with Go 2 Talent Agency and Closeup Models and has since appeared on television and in music videos with major artists such as Taylor Swift, Kygo, and Maroon 5. She has also graced commercials for major brands, print campaigns for athleticwear, jewelry, hair salons, and has acted in independent short films.

For the past 3 years, Ms. Swantek has toured across the country with “the prince of Spanish guitar,” Benise, as a soloist in Fuego! and his 20th Anniversary Spectacular.
